As much as we love our male counterparts, sometimes a night with the ladies is needed! I hope this can help you plan out your event!

Step One- Talk to your closest gals
Consult the ladies about your idea of having a Galentines party. Create a group chat to communicate with each other.

These ladies should all help pitch in with the party planning. It takes some of the stress off you and your pocket book. If everyone’s planning to come, then they can pitch in. Obviously there are special circumstances, but please don’t do everything yourself.

Step Two- Set a date & location

This ensures that you have a deadline to get things done. While having this event on Valentine’s Day would be ideal, it doesn’t always work for everyone and that’s okay. Remember to try and be flexible. It’s about having fun anyway!

Setting the location is important for the next step. You’ll need to know how many people you can fit in your location and be the foundation for the rest of your party planning.

Step Three- Decide what kind of party you want to have
Obviously you don’t have to put a parameter on your galentines party. It can be as simple as inviting everyone over, hanging out and going with the flow. But if that’s not what you’re going for, here are a couple ideas.

– A fancy dress up party: Wouldn’t it be fun to get dressed up with your gals, drink from fancy cups, eat cute valentines snacks, socialize and maybe even dance? If it were me, I’d also have a cute backdrop with props to take photos.

– A Valentines pj movie party: Sometimes all you need are your friends and some silly romance movies. Make a night of it with pjs, snacks, and movies. So simple, yet so memorable.

-A Valentines pj spa party: Get in your pjs, get out the skin care and nail polish, and have another simple yet memorable evening with your gals.

You can keep these ideas simple or play them up as much as you want. Get creative if you want to, but don’t feel like you won’t have fun if you keep it simple. Remember, the most important part is spending time with your friends and making memories, regardless how much time, money and thought you put into the event.

Step Four- Decide how big you want the party

Create the invite list with your closest friends in your group chat. You’re gonna have to decide how big you want this to be. A small gathering with just you guys? Or, would you like to invite a few more people? You have to think about how much space you have to work with. Too many people crammed into a small space with nowhere to sit or stand is awkward.

Step Five- Send out the Invites
Whether you use facebook events, paper or text invites, or something else, be sure to make it clear whether partners and kids are welcome at the party. Sometimes it’s not specified and that can cause some confusion.

Also mention if there are any other rules or requests such as where to park or special instructions on how to find the location.

Step 6- Divvy out the responsibilities

Use the group chat to sort out who needs to do and bring what to get this even going.

Step 7- Arrive before the event starts

Arrange with the group what time everyone should arrive to set up and make sure everything is ready to go. Even though it’s not required, this gives time to set up any food, drinks, and decorations.

It can be hard to feel rushed and stressed when planning things like this. But, don’t let little things stress you out, have fun with it even if it’s not perfect. It’s not about being perfect.
